Our goal through this National Child's Day event is to affirm to Southern California children the importance of each as an individual and as an asset to the community by encouraging community and family togetherness on National Child’s Day, making a lasting, unforgettable impact in their lives.

This Celebration of National Child's Day will include:

AT THE THIRD STREET PROMENADE IN SANTA MONICA, CALIFORNIA: TIMESCOPE - THE EARLY EONS FEATURING MUSIC/DANCE, ARTS/CRAFTS AND HORSEPOWER DURING THE ANTIQUITIES.

An extremetly interactive historical timeline feauturing the early development of human vision and talent in the areas of art/crafts, music/dance and the use of horsepower/transportation, from prehistory/mythology during the antiquities. Included will be chariots of various eras, pony, camel, elephant, and donkey rides, traditional music and dance performances, art and craft demonstrations, clinics and lessons, and much more. Children and their parents will have opportunities to try out together many different cultural dances, musical instruments, art projects and crafts to take home and display. Our goal is to encourage family togetherness and solidarity on National Child's Day, in a setting that is fun, exciting, creative, and educational! We plan to make related educational materials and presentations by our performers and artists available to local schools.

ADDITIONAL FEATURES
FAMILY RELATIONSHIP SEMINARS

The entire family will learn key tips to improve interpersonal relationships. Included will be: what to do about bullies, learning anger and stress management, developing coping skills, creating harmonious relationships, keys to relaxing and having fun together, and more.

EDUCATIONAL COMPONENTS OF
NATIONAL CHILD’S DAY CELBRATION

Though designed to be fun, exciting and highly interactive for children and their families, Timescope is entirely educational.

It is an historical timeline of the development of art, craft music, dance and horsepower from prehistory to the year 0. At the beginning, children will be met with a prehistoric man creating cave paintings, children will have an opportunity to craft petroglyphs to take home. They will be encounter harps, lyres, pan pipes, didgeridoos, limbo contests, stiltwalking contests, face decorating, hair braiding, flyntknapping, moccasin crafting, Asian, African, South Pacific and Native American dance, dog, horse, and human travois, palanquins, chariots, elephants, camels and far more! We anticipate that our Roman Chariot drawn by Percherons will by far be our most popular feature!

There will be educational signs and handouts throughout the event. We will have a performer pavilion where children and their parents may get acquainted with the performers and ask questions.

Our three-pronged Celebration community outreach includes:

Artist and performer presentations in schools and to children’s groups, including coloring books, workbooks featuring history, geography, culture, spelling, arithmetic, vocabulary, games, puzzles, as well as writing and art exercises. We will provide lesson plans and teacher outlines.

Motorsports professionals making “Quick Tips on Winning in Life” presentations in schools and children’s groups, including pointers drawn from their own personal experiences on key universal truths, such as study, learn the art of teamwork, find a mentor and more.

Car shows, that include “Quick Tips” presentations and traffic, helmet and bicycle safety tips.
